Hock tools, makers of the blades for Benedetto Palm Planes, recently featured this great interview with Bob Benedetto and we thought you might love it too!
“Once you look at photos of Bob’s wooden palm planes, you know you are in the hands of a true professional. Each part of the plane’s design has been thought out and comes from years of experience holding and using tools designed to perform the way he likes them to.”

A lot of luck and some great timing came in handy this past weekend when Benedetto Artist, Dan Faehnle‘s beloved Benny was accidentally damaged in the Pink Martini tour bus. Fortunately, Howard Paul happened to be driving back to Savannah from the South Jersey Jazz Festival with the shop Benny handy. He was able to hand off the guitar just before downbeat at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.!
If you happen to be near Jacksonville, FL on October 27, be sure to swing by the Blue Jay Listening Room to hear this great trio of guitarists featuring Benedetto players Barry Green and Taylor Roberts.

This stunning example of a 16-B in Antiqueburst was supposed to show up in Bob’s Boutique this week but instead was shipped to one savvy guitarist. If you have something fairly standard in mind that isn’t available on the boutique and don’t want to wait 7-8 months for a custom build just give us a call… It’s possible we’ve already started your dream guitar!
